Entry Level & Semi Skilled Immigration Pathway

The Entry Level and Semi-Skilled stream is a pathway designed for individuals working in specific roles within the tourism/hospitality or food processing industries who wish to secure permanent residency in British Columbia (B.C.).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this immigration stream, you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Job Offer: You must have accepted a full-time, indefinite job offer from an employer in B.C. within the tourism/hospitality or food processing sectors. This job offer should be either permanent or without a specified end date.
  • Occupation Eligibility: Your occupation must be listed as eligible for this stream, categorized under NOC Tier 4 or 5. For those working in the Northeast Development Region of B.C., occupations falling under NOC Tier categories 4 or 5 are accepted, except for live-in caregivers (NOC 44100).
  • Work Experience: Prior to applying, you must have been employed full-time with the same employer for a minimum of nine consecutive months.
  • Job Qualifications: You must possess the necessary qualifications and meet any certification or registration requirements applicable to the job offered in B.C.
  • Wage Compliance: Your wage must align with the prevailing wage rates established for the specific occupation in B.C.
  • Language and Education: You should meet the minimum language proficiency and educational requirements specified for this stream.
  • Financial Self-sufficiency: You must demonstrate your ability to financially support yourself and any dependents.
  • Legal Immigration Status: It is essential that you maintain legal immigration status in Canada.

  • 64322 – Outdoor sport and recreational guides
  • 64300 – Maîtres d’hotel and hosts/hostesses
  • 64301 – Bartenders
  • 65200 – Food and beverage servers
  • 65201 – Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations
  • 65210 – Support occupations in accommodation, travel and facilities set-up services
  • 65310 – Light duty cleaners
  • 65311 – Specialized cleaners
  • 65312 – Janitors, caretakers and heavy-duty cleaners
  • 65320 – Dry cleaning, laundry and related occupations
  • 65329 – Other service support occupations
  • 94140 – Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing
  • 94141 – Industrial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related workers
  • 94142 – Fish and seafood plant workers
  • 94143 – Testers and graders, food and beverage processing
  • 95106 – Labourers in food and beverage processing
