Candidates must have completed a PhD from an eligible post-secondary institution in Ontario.
The institution must be publicly funded and recognized by the Ontario government
Foreign Workers is designed to facilitate the immigration of foreign workers who have a valid job offer from an Ontario employer. This stream helps employers in Ontario fill labor shortages by attracting skilled workers from outside Canada.
Candidates must have a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer. The job offer must be in a skilled occupation classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER (Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities) 0, 1, 2, or 3.
Candidates must have at least two years of work experience in the same occupation as the job offer, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Employer Job Offer – International Students is specifically designed to help international students who have completed their studies at an eligible post-secondary institution in Ontario
Candidates must have a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer.
Unlike some other streams, candidates under this stream do not need to have prior work experience to qualify. The key requirement is the valid job offer from an Ontario employer.
In-Demand Skills is designed to help address labor shortages in Ontario by attracting workers with skills in specific in-demand occupations. This stream targets foreign workers who have a valid job offer in one of the high-demand sectors identified by Ontario.
Candidates must have a full-time, permanent job offer from an Ontario employer.
Candidates must have at least nine months of work experience in the occupation related to the job offer within the last three years.
Entrepreneur is designed to attract experienced business owners and senior managers who are interested in starting or buying a business in Ontario. This stream helps to foster economic growth by encouraging entrepreneurs who can contribute to the province’s economy through investment and job creation.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an owner or senior manager of a business in the last 5 years before applying.
Candidates must have a minimum personal net worth of CAD 800,000 if the proposed business will be located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). For businesses located outside the GTA, the minimum personal net worth requirement is CAD 400,000.
Candidates must make a minimum investment of CAD 600,000 if the business is located in the GTA. For businesses located outside the GTA, the minimum investment required is CAD 200,000
