Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)

Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa

This points-based visa is for skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer, a state or territory, or a family member. With this visa, you can live and work permanently anywhere in Australia, and eligible family members can be included in your application. This is a permanent visa and allows visa-holders to stay indefinitely in any region in Australia with full work rights, including those family members who are eligible to apply as secondary applicants and as dependents. Also, this allows students who have completed their education in Australia and do not have any sponsorship from an employer or a family member or any nomination from a state or territory government to work and get settled in Australia permanently.

To be able to submit a legitimate application for this visa, you must first submit an Expression of Interest through SkillSelect. This may be done whether it is in or out of Australia.

You must gather and submit all the required papers to substantiate the claims stated in the EOI-Expression of Interest. To learn more about any current changes impacting subclass 189 and to receive help on the whole documentation process, please contact us at +91-9606023371 or contact@viavia.com.

If you have nominated an authorized immigration consultant (MARA) to help you with the subclass 189 visa application, you need to include Form 956A for having the authorized recipient of your correspondence or Form 956 for the assistance of an Australian Immigration (MARA) Agent.
